Set in the heart of "Drumlin County", Castleblayney is ideally located, equi-distant from Dublin and Belfast. A little over an hour from either major City and you can relax in idyllic surroundings. Castleblayney is on the Main N2 north-south route and is served regularly by bus. The Dundalk mainline railway station is just twenty minutes away. Castleblayney Golf Club Castleblayney Golf Club is a fine mature parkland course located on the shores of Muckno Lake in on the shores of Muckno Lake in the ground of the Hope Castle Estate and virtually in the town of Castleblayney. It is a hilly course which presents a challenge to low and high handicappers alike. Many of the holes have breathtaking views of the Lake. The course is a 9 hole course almost 5,000 metres long with a par of 68. The Clubhouse is available for functions.
In 2002 Castleblayney Golf Club embarked on an ambitious and exciting plan to buy over 230 acres of land with a view to building a new 18 Hole Golf and Country Club on lands owned by Coillte, known locally as Concra Wood. The course will be designed by Christy O Connor Snr. And will have a par distance of 7,500 metres.
