Over the years we are happy that many of our students have indeed achieved excellence. It has been achieved in the academic field with many of them obtaining outstanding results in the Leaving Certificate and the Junior Certificate. Many of our students have gone on to rewarding, successful and satisfying careers in the professions, business and skilled area of work. The awards our students have won are many and varied from European Young Scientist of The Year, to European essayist and young journalists. Outstanding also has been the schools achievement in environmental awards as well as art, music and drama. On the sporting field Our Lady’s is known nationally and internationally for its success in Basketball having won numerous All Ireland awards in Girls and Boys Basketball and also representing Ireland in the World Schools Basketball Championship. Added to this, a number of our students have, over the years, been selected for the Irish schools basketball teams. In Gaelic football Our Lady’s have also experienced success winning a number of Ulster Colleges Competitions. In recent years we have introduced Ladies Football and here too we are making our mark winning a number of Post Primary County titles. |
