A number of Castleblayney groups were met by Tanáiste Mary Coughlan when she officially launched the Monaghan County Council Peace III Partnership Programme in Clones this week.
Each of the local groups who have received funding under the programme will carry out activities promoting peace building and reconciliation as well as building positive relationships at local community, cross community and / or cross border level.
The Castleblayney groups present at the launch and who have received funding included Artswell, Castleblayney Community Enterprise Ltd, Castleblayney Youth Café and Iontas. These groups are part of thirty community and voluntary groups across the county who have been granted 3.6 million in funding.
All the projects are part financed by the European Union’s European Regional Development funded through Monaghan Peace III Partnership.
