WHO ARE WE???
Monaghan Youth Federation Youth Information service has three Youth Information Centres located in Castleblayney, Carrickmacross and Monaghan. The service provides a free and confidential drop in and telephone information service to young people on a wide range of topics including education, careers rights and entitlements, travel and summer work abroad.
Education is one of the main subjects about which queries are received. These queries range from college application requirements, course requirements and course information to student finance, Higher Education Grant application forms, adult education and studying abroad. We have a wide range of College prospectus and the ‘Qualifax’ computer package includes a list of all the third level courses in Ireland and Northern Ireland and points required.
Other services available include help with CV Preparation, mock interviews, typing, and photocopying and Internet access for a small fee.
A wide range of application forms are also available such as Driver Theory Test, Provisional Driving Licence, Passport, EHIC, National Age card, ISIC Cards and Social Welfare application forms. Also available is the Driver Theory Test Disc and book that people can use in preparation for their test.
