Farm Accounts: Date: Thursday 9th February 2012, (3pm-5pm) for 3 afternoons. Cost: €45 (includes Certification of Attendance) "The Farm Accounts course teaches participants how to use the very common & widely used Microsoft Excel computer program (rather than more professional & very expensive accounting programs) to generate and prepare for analysis a range of farm accounts material & lists such as Cattle Registers, Bank receipts, Bank payments, Purchases, Bills & Expenses, Stock and Sales Records to produce meaningful information and finally a trading profit & loss account." FETAC Level 5 - Occupational First Aid - 3 Day Course: Tuesday 14th February 2012 (& Every Tuesday for 3 weeks - 9.30am-5pm) Costs €240 (includes FETAC Level-5 Certification) This 3-day course educates participants in the proper response to any workplace emergency, and participants learn how to recognise medical emergencies & casualty assessment. Occupational First Aid Courses are heavily focused on providing the necessary skills to enable the employees deal with injuries that would be likely to occur at their workplace. It meets and exceeds current Health & Safety Standards and requirements for employee training. NEW - Food Safety & HACCP Awareness: Wednesday 29th February 2012 (1 Day Only - 9.30am-5pm) Cost €90. Certification: Certificate of Attendance, Course Delivered by Registered EHOA Trainer Optional Extra: EHOA Primary Food Hygiene & Food Safety Certification available - on sucessful completion of 1 Hour exam at additional cost of €35) The course is aimed at Food Handlers requiring a refresher course in Food Safety & HACCP. Under current legislation anyone involved in handling or preparing food is required to complete food hygiene training and this course satisfies the requirements of the FSAI Training Levels 1 & 2. This course will be tailored to meet the requirements of the client and will therefore cover the following:
Food Hygiene awareness, Contamination & Infection Control, Allergen Awareness, Safe Food Methods (delivery, storage, cooking, hot holding, etc), Personal Hygiene, Pest Control & Cleaning Awareness, Food Premises, Legislation and HACCP (Food Safety Systems, control Measures & Critical Control Ponts, Hazard Analysis, Monitoring & Records). Manual Handling (excludes Patient Handling): Tuesday 21st February 2012 (6.30pm-10pm) for 1 evening only Cost: €50 (includes Certification of Attendance) The course is structured in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Health & Safety Authority and fulfils current Health & Safety Legislation requirements. This course will therefore satisfy your organisations training obligations under the 2007 Manual Handling Regulations and the Safety Health and Welfare at Work Act, 2005. A certificate of attendance will be issued to all participants who successfully complete the course. Course excludes Patient Handling. Tutor: Noeleen Boyle
HeartSaver AED (Defibrillation): Tuesday 24th January 2012 (6.30pm-10pm) for 1 evening only Cost: €110 (includes Certification from the Irish Heart Foundation) This comprehensive Defibrillator Course is designed to teach Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) & Automated External Defibrillator (AED) skills for the lay rescuer and first responder. Health & Safety Awareness - for Employers, Managers & Supervisors: 2012 Date TBA (9.30-4.30pm) Costs €130, (includes Certification of Attendance & Participation). This course is aimed specifically at Managers, Employers and Supervisors, and by participating on this course it is expected each attendee will gain an insight into current health and safety legislation, become more aware of employer/employee responsibilities, be able to identify existing and potential hazards within an organisation, become more familiar with risk awareness & risk prevention tactics and be able to follow the correct procedures following an accident, as well as correctly document accidents. Attendees will be awarded with a certificate of attendance and participation. Highly recommended & sought after in her field, this course will be delivered by Occupational Health & Safety expert and part-time lecturer in DCU, Anne Marie Graham who has a wealth of experience in industry and training. Emergency (Basic) First Aid: 2012 Date TBA (6pm-10pm) for 2 evenings. Cost €95 (incudes certificate of attendance) This 2 evening course in Basic or Emergency First Aid covers a comprehensive range of topics to prepare participants to administer Emergency First Aid care. Participants will learn a high level of practical skill so that they can deal competently with any situation that may arise. This course has an emphasis on dealing with emergency life threatening situations in the absence of an Occupational First Aider and keeping the casualty alive until professional help arrives. Employment Legislation: 2012 Date TBA - 2 Evenings (6.30-9.30pm) Costs €70 per participant, (includes Certification of Attendance). This course is delivered over 2 Thursday evenings (6.30-9.30pm) and aims to enlighten owner managers in small and medium enterprises to their responsibilities in relation to Employment Law and to teach them how to manage change effectively and to understand their rights and the rights of the employee. It is also intended that managers will become more confident in their employment practices and that they will identify areas in which they need further coaching and support. Tutor: Annmarie McHugh
Preparing a Health & Safety Statement: 2012 Date TBA - Evening's (6.30-9.30pm) for 4 weeks, Costs €200, (includes Certification of Attendance). "Throughout this course participants will actively be encouraged to assess & define their own Health & Safety policies & procedures, and by the end of the 4-week course participants should have completed all of their relevant Health & Safety Statements to a satisfactory level, with the help of a Tutor who is an expert in the Health & Safety field."
