Muckno Mania Castleblayney Enterprise each year in conjunction with a number of local groups and hardworking individuals stage a highly enjoyable and successful Summer Festival titled Muckno Mania.
 The weekend festival will run from the 14th to 17th July 2011, and will include a wide variety of excellent entertainment & fun for all the family.
As always the Festival culminates on Sunday with a Family Fun Day at the scenic shores of Lough Muckno.

Muckno Mania Festival Queen: The search for the Muckno Mania Festival Queen 2011 starts with a Festival Queens Banquet in the Glencarn on Thursday 14th July at 8.00pm. The successful queen will receive a cash prize and other valuable prizes including entry to The Monaghan Rose 2012. The 2011 Muckno Mania Festival Queen will be declared after the “Stars in your Eyes” competition in the Glencarn on Saturday night 16th July at 11pm. Muckno Mania Sprint Triathlon: We are happy to inform you that it's on our programme for 2011 and will take place on Saturday 16th July. We understand too that many locals are already in training for this event. The Triathlon will consist of a 750m SWIM on the lake of Lough Muckno, 18km CYCLE on a route around the perimeters of Lough Muckno and to finish a 5km RUN around the Forest Park. “The Shane Tyres – FLOAT YOUR SOAP BOX” Get ready for this years NEW event “The Shane Tyres – FLOAT YOUR SOAP” which replaces last years event “The Soap Box Derby”. This year’s race has gone off the road and will be held as a form of raft race on Lough Muckno on Saturday 16th July. So get your amphibious vehicle ready to take you from land to water and back again. The Float Your Soap Derby appeals to the technical and creative side of people’s ability in creating these fantastic floating amphibious vehicles.
